The author reminds us that quality education in a safe environment is a right for all; and if the traditional model does not deliver, then take a strong stance, think for yourself, know for yourself and create a safe space and system that delivers. The homeschooling model should be a viable, normal choice for parents of school-aged children.

Rayna has a beautiful way of writing! This book is a must for anyone interested in the topic of homeschooling.

I agree with the authors principal point endorsing parental choice for elementary education. It can be daunting for parents to choose what's best for their children: public school, private school, or home school. This book helps explain the homeschool option and the author's own personal experiences with homeschooling.

I am an experienced educator and mental health clinician, but before that, I was a little girl in South Louisiana that attended school in a four-room brick school house that my father once attended. Those of us who were educated by people who knew and cared for us so deeply can attest to the the accuracy of this amazing work.
